One human life well-lived, can become a turning point to the world. An ordinary barrister, to mid-forties of his life, awakened to the potential within him, became a turning point to the world. An ordinary school teacher awakened to the potential within her. In three decades’, time, became a phenomenon in the world. Garage startups have become presidents, garage startups have become world-class brands… A Colonel Sanders was able to start a KFC only at the age of sixty-five, and still build a multi-billion-dollar food chain across the world. Take industries, take politics, take spirituality, take social revolutions…
Time and again, people have demonstrated to us, once you’re awakened to the potential within you, even two to three decades of living your life, in that awakened state of consciousness, actualizing and maximizing your potential continuously – One human life is enough, to be a turning point to the entire world. And somewhere here, the power of belief is, for one of you to believe, “I think he’s talking about me.”. You missed the entire program if you’re sitting here thinking, “Yeah yeah, that are such great people.”. And I’m telling you, and there is a reason in citing this.
It can be you. Your past is not equivalent to the future. What your grandfather has achieved, what your grandmother has achieved, and everything is insignificant to what you can achieve in the life that is left, for you. What you have done with your entire past is insignificant to what you can do with the rest of your life. Your past is not equivalent to the future. Till the age of thirty, Jesus Christ lived his life as just a carpenter’s son. He was not even aware that he can be an awakening in the world. Jesus Christ delivered his first-ever sermon only when he was thirty. If you are not at thirty, there are still possibilities.
Prophet Muhammad heard the call of Allah, only when he was forty. And till forty, he was just another citizen, and once awakened to the spiritual potential within, the possibilities were limitless. He was sacked from the very organization he founded, Steve Jobs. Because they did not see that, a series of his products had failed. And yet he came back and gave the world a technology the world has never experienced. Every product of his became the benchmark of technology to the rest of the world. Abraham Lincoln did not test his first major success till he was fifty-two.
A lot of people in the world have bloomed very late in their life. A lot of people were awakened to the potential within them, in their thirties and forties and fifties and sixties, and still created world-defining phenomena in life. That’s the power of belief. It’s not about the talk. Something within you should beat. I’m not here to be a statistical entity. I’m not just here to be another one in the world population. Whether it’s a Saina Nehwal, or it is a P.V Sindhu, from very humble beginnings, or a Deepa…
And these are all people who have shown that you can come from modest beginnings, small middle-class families, smaller towns, and still do something, where the world can take notice of you. Name the field, and I’ll give you an inspiration. And the power of belief is not about the talk. It’s not about all the points I discuss. Something within you should know that, you’re not here to be a caterpillar, you’re here to be a butterfly. Something within you should, there must be this positive restlessness within you, that you are not comfortable in your comfort zone.
You’re not settled down into a satisfied stagnation in your life. Something within you is still feeling, life is incomplete, something within you is still breathing that aspiration within you, that the best period of my life is ahead of me, and it’s not behind me. Something within you is still telling you that, I don’t belong to the crowd, I can be the one above the crowd. Not for egoistic reasons, not for arrogant reasons, not to prove anything to the world, but to do justice to the potential that is inside you.
You show your respect to the manufacturer, by using the product properly. You show your respect to the creator, by ensuring the creation manifests its potential to the best of the possibilities in the way you live your life and something within you! And the beauty of every human life is, when a common man achieves uncommon results in life. When somebody is able to show this transformation of what can be done in ten years’ time, twenty years’ time, thirty years’ time… You inspire the next generation to see what is possible. Inspiration for children should not come from history books.
Inspiration for the next generation of children should come because, they know an aunt in their family who has achieved this. They know that their elder brother has achieved it. They should know that their uncle has achieved this. They know somebody, a very close relative of theirs who has achieved this. We need neighborhood inspiration, and you are that neighborhood inspiration. Something within you should wake up.
